SENIOR RESEARCH ASSOCIATE
Charlesson, an ocular pharmaceutical company, is seeking highly motivated individuals for a full time Research Associate position. This person will be responsible for participating in a wide variety of laboratory-based activities related to cellular and molecular biology.
Responsibilities include: Mammalian tissue culture, MTT assay, ELISA, Immunolabeling, Luciferase assay, DNA, RNA, and protein expression and purification, Western blotting, PCR and quantitative RT-PCR, Electrophoresis, and molecular cloning.
Successful candidates will have a M.Sc./Ph.D. in Cell Biology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology or a related field with at least three years of bench experience. Knowledge of basic cellular and molecular laboratory methods and techniques is required. Proficiency with MS Office applications, PowerPoint and Adobe Photoshop is also required. Excellent organizational, time management skills, a high level of initiative and following the proper directions of supervision are essential. Must be able to design, organize, and implement cellular and molecular biology laboratory bench experiments as well as troubleshoot and optimize current protocols where needed to meet scientific research goals. Must have excellent written and oral communication skills, along with the ability to manage multiple projects. Previous industrial experience is desired.
